With a population of over 4,000 people, Dover-Foxcroft is the largest town in and the commercial center of Piscataquis County in Central Maine. Dover-Foxcroft was originally two towns, Dover and Foxcroft, which merged into a single town on March 1, 1922. Dover-Foxcroft is located southwest of Milo, southeast of Greenville, north of Newport, and northwest of Hermon, and northeast of Skowhegan.
